If everything checks out, the secured loan company will draw up papers which will place themselves on to your mortgage as a second mortgagee. Once you sign theses papers, the secured loan company will deposit your money into your account, and you are free to spend the money as you wish.

After everything has been signed, you will receive a number of papers in the mail, detailing your payment schedule and regulations of the loan.
